HEALING

... and by His stripes...

The prophet Isaiah spoke his Master's words to the people of the Promised Land: the Messiah would come down from Heaven to Earth to accomplish His Father's purposes.

Do you need healing for yourself and others in your family and circle of friends, neighbors, co-workers? Are any of these people now estranged from you or others? Do they carry the burdens of their own guilt and shame? Ask, and you will receive... seek and you will find... knock and the door will be opened.

Seniors Companioning In Faith-filled Fellowship

Have you been longing for a place to be in the company of others in the "seasoned" season of life?
The newest group at Bayside Community Church, in our hometown of Kingston, WA, is up and running! Well, perhaps walking... sitting... eating... Last month my wife, Sue, and I began hosting some of the folks with whom we worship and serve. We have been "breaking bread" in our home on a weekly basis since October.
Our last two gatherings of the year will continue our theme of growth in various areas of our lives. Wednesday, November 13 topic is growing in physical health. On November 20, we plan to usher in the holiday season with a discussion on "anticipation" -- what are you looking forward to? What have been some of your best memories of holidays connected with the church? If you're interested in joining us, call or text me at (360) 286-6019.
About Connect. Thrive. At 55 (and then some!)

A group for our “seasoned” friends to gather together at Steve and Sue Pargman’s home! We’ll break bread with a “light” supper on the table at 4:30p. Then at 5:00p, gather in a cozy living room to share how God’s Word causes us to grow in grace, righteousness, encouragement, humor, fellowship, gratitude, health, and anticipation for each new day. We’ll be done by 6:00p!

I always cry at a dog movie

I joined my wife, son and daughter-in-law for a trip to the Los Angeles Museum of Science and Industry. We watched a movie in 3D at the IMAX theater. It was about specially trained dogs that make it possible to rescue people, help emotionally challenged children and adults, and track down criminals, protect people and other animals, and assist law enforcement officers. The main roles were played by a human-dog rescue team (Cat & Halo), as they went from basic puppy training to certified search and rescue. I'll let you know that the wet-eyes section came rather late in the script.
